• Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings,
specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials, and other written instructions or
procedures to accurately create equipment and products
• Utilize handheld tools such as a hand held screw gun, drill gun, and grinders
• Operate calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other welding hand tool
• Maintain weld machines using preventative maintenance methods
• Continually evaluate weld machine performance and technology to improve cycle times
• Maintain inventory of manufacturing product and welding consumables
• Create specific weldment set-ups and fixturing to meet geometric requirements
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
• Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are
identified
• Rework and/or repair welded parts and products according to engineering specification
changes
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
• Prioritize work flow through effective communication with management staff
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Responsibilities Include The Following
Scheduling and dispatching access control technicians, with the required parts, accessories and tools to job sites according to customer requests or immediate needs.
Relaying information such as work orders or other messages to and from the technicians as needed.
Using telephones, text messages or e-mail to contact employees or customers.
Speaking with supervisors, other department personnel or customers to resolve problems, requests for services or parts requirements.
Preparing daily work schedules and assignments.
Preparing work orders for access control technicians or receiving parts orders from technicians.
Effectively communicating with company management and departments.
Keeping and organizing service requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work performed, expenses for services performed, inventory records and other information.

• Producing fabrication prints
• Preparing layout drawings
