This is a long one, so grab a drink and snack. This is one to warm your hearts.
Today I had the rare privilege to help a displaced person. I will not be mentioning any of their personal information.
They called me yesterday and slightly explained to me their situation and even though I offered to wash their laundry for free, they told me they wanted to pay me at least a little something so they didn't feel like they were taking advantage of me. So I charged them for just the overhead cost of washing 3 loads of laundry, which is what they had.
After hearing their story, I have been inspired to start a project/fund/ operation.
Our city, as well as the rest of this world, has seen an uptick in displacement. I can only imagine not just the financial, but the physical and emotional toll this can take on a person.
So I want to extend a hand in offering those facing extreme financial hardship and/or displacement the chance to at least have clean clothing on hand.
I would also like to start taking donations to hand out to these honored clients.
☆☆☆ Also- if any fellow cleaners want to help, please inbox me and we can organize! ☆☆☆
This project will be called "The Kindness Cycle".
