Fires continue to burn north of Amarillo tonight. These fires will continue to pump smoke into the city. Please stay indoors if you have respiratory issues and continue to heed evacuation warnings.

Just to clarify, there aren't any fires burning IN Amarillo. The fires are about 10-20 miles north-northeast. With the rapid wind shift of the cold front, the smoke will continue to affect Amarillo, Panhandle, and White Deer. Reduced visibility could be a concern on US 287, 60, and I-40 overnight.
