EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT EL NIÑO…IS YOUR GARAGE DOOR WINTER-READY?

With talk of a potentially wet and stormy winter along the California coast, now is the time to prepare your home for whatever Mother Nature brings.

Here on the Mendocino Coast, we know how quickly the weather can change. High winds, heavy rain, and power outages can put your garage door to the test. Don't wait until the first big storm hits to find out your door isn't ready!

Here's how to get ahead of the weather:
- Schedule our annual garage door maintenance and 12-point safety inspection
- Upgrade worn weatherstripping and seals to help keep wind and rain out
- Check your backup battery so your door can keep operating during a power outage
- Lubricate moving parts to help keep everything running smoothly

Thinking about a new garage door? DON'T WAIT! If your current door is showing its age or isn't suited to coastal conditions, now is the time to explore your options while we still have installation availability.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! Your garage door is one of the largest openings in your home. Let's make sure it's ready before the storms roll in.

Insulation serves a two-fold purpose on your door: it keeps your garage warm during our cold Coastal winters and reduces noise. Especially if your garage is an extended living space or is attached to your home, quality insulation is key. Also, insulated doors reduce condensation immensely, improving energy efficiency and keeping your stored things safe. Most doors offer either polystyrene or polyurethane insulation - be sure to consult us when considering these options!
