BULL MOOSE TUBE COMPANY, a progressive organization in the manufacture of steel tubular products, is looking for an energetic, customer-focused Quality Control Technician who wants to become a key contributor in an industrial manufacturing environment. Bull Moose Tube is currently one of the largest and most profitable manufacturers of mechanical tubes, fire suppression sprinkler pipe and hollow section structural steel tube. We currently generate approximately $0.6 Billion in revenue and operate from eight strategically located North American manufacturing sites with headquarters near St. Louis, Missouri. This Quality Control Technician opening will be located in our Elkhart, Indiana plant.
DUTIES
1.Examines material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and incomplete welds.
2.Compares product with parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly.
3.Verifies specified dimensions of product or material.
4.Rejects defective parts, and marks type of defect on part, container of parts, or inspection tag.
5.Interprets engineering drawings, diagrams and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
6.Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance and mechanical characteristics.
7.Operates any diagnostic equipment needed to perform job.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate must be able to: handle multiple tasks at the same time, communicate effectively, and work well in a team-based environment.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or work-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
