PUBLIC SERVICE ALERT.
To all of our customers and the general public:: In a DHS memorandum issued by Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) Director Christopher C. Krebs, CISA, announced development of an initial list of Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers “to help state and local officials as they work to protect their communities, while ensuring continuity of functions critical to public health and safety, as well as economic and national security.”
The list identifies those professions deemed essential to continued critical infrastructure viability and advises such workers to continue normal operations, appropriately modified to account for Centers for Disease Control (CDC) workforce and customer protection guidance.
Filtration and conditioned air quality have never been more critical. Change your filters today if they are dirty. If you KNOW or suspect your home's air conditioning system is not working DO NOT WAIT until the first heat wave! BE proactive now. There could be massive shortages in labor, parts, and equipment during the initial heat wave which historically can happen as soon as April.
What can you do now? Change that filter! Then get a thermometer you can trust, (Meat thermometer will work) run the air conditioner and look for an 18-22 degree temperature split. (100 degree temps are right around the corner). Run it for 15 minutes then check to see if you have that 18-22 degree temperature drop. We will be posting a series of videos on our website to help you understand how to check this.
We must keep our employees and our customers safe. Although under this national emergency and quarantine the HVAC and plumbing trades MUST continue business as usual ... please, if you are feeling sick in any way you must let us know.
Due to the Emergency orders from the Federal and State governments our workers qualify for protective safety equipment and we are working hard to locate this equipment.
Meanwhile, give our guys their eight feet of space and advise us of any possible contamination prior to dispatch. If you are contaminated we must wear proper gear. I do not want to send my
workers into harms way. I do not like the math but I have no choice here. So we are all in this together and we plead that our customers must be aware of the dangers posed to our essential workers.
Don't procrastinate your system check.
