I’m Michael founder of Iron & Oak, a veteran-owned LLC that specializes in Metal Building Construction, precision welding, renovations, and handcrafted furniture. My journey began in Florida, where I developed a deep passion for working with my hands at an early age. After relocating to North Carolina during my teen years, my future truly began to take shape. Joining the Coast Guard gave me invalu

able life knowledge, sharpening both my technical and mental strength. From Minnesota to Washington state, I gathered more experience and learned life’s lessons—though, admittedly, Washington’s traffic left much to be desired! Always with the goal of returning to North Carolina and starting my own business, I took the leap in June 2024. After selling my house, packing up my loyal pit bulls, Henry and Parker, and driving across the country, I finally landed back home. A barndominium that serves as both my home and workshop, where I get to do what I love every single day. Iron & Oak is the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and passion. I’m proud to share it with you. Welcome to Iron & Oak, where craftsmanship meets purpose.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor the men and women who answered the call to serve something greater than themselves. Their sacrifice, courage, and commitment are the foundation of the freedoms we live every day.
At Iron and Oak, being veteran owned is more than a title — it’s a reflection of the values we carry into everything we do: integrity, hard work, loyalty, and service to others. The lessons learned in uniform never leave you. They shape the way we lead, the way we treat people, and the way we build this company every single day.

Today, we remember those who gave everything, stand beside those still carrying the weight of service, and thank every veteran and military family for the sacrifices often unseen by the world.
