For our quarterly employee spotlight, we are featuring Luisa Corniel, one of our outstanding Energy Analysts. We wanted to put a spotlight on her experience, hobbies, and time at the company thus far. Thank you for all that you do, Luisa!
"Hi everyone! I’m Luisa. I was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to New York City as a child without speaking any English. I learned English while attending school in New York, and my family later moved to Ohio, where I’ve called the Cincinnati area home for many years. As a native Spanish speaker, I’m now fluent in both Spanish and English.
Before joining RES, I spent 22 years working in local government. Joining RES gave me the opportunity to bring the skills and experience I gained over those years into a new industry. It’s been an exciting and rewarding change, and I truly enjoy being part of the RES team.
One of my proudest accomplishments was earning my degree in Computer-Based Business Management while working full-time. Balancing work and school wasn’t always easy, but it taught me perseverance, time management, and the value of hard work.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my daughter, Victoria, my fiancé, Junior, and my dog, Rocky, who always keeps life entertaining. I also love being outside, especially taking care of my plants and working in my yard. I enjoy going on little adventures, visiting amusement parks, watching true crime shows and documentaries, and spending time near the water whenever I get the chance.
