Creating Savvy Home Solutions Matthew Witt’s grandfather taught Matthew the art of carpentry at a very early age. In 1995 Matthew relocated to Atlanta, Ga.

It was through his grandfather that he developed a true love for working with his hands. where he continued growing as a construction professional working for large commercial construction companies. Although he liked the exciting and large projects of the commercial industry, he missed woodworking. To fill this need, Matthew began to take on residential remodeling jobs on the weekends. s client base grew so large he decided to leave commercial construction to begin his own building business. Matthew and Irene Witt created Witt Building Company, Inc in the summer of 2000. Matthew has been remodeling and building homes in Gilmer, Pickens, Fannin and Union Counties ever since. He has created a loyal base of clients and Witt Building Company’s new business is 100% referral based. Matthew is CEO and President of WBCI and is a member of the Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce, Gilmer County Home Builders Association, Dedicated Ellijay Merchant’s Association and the National Home Builders Association. WBCI carries both General Liability and Workers Compensation Insurances. Irene Witt received a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University and has over 22 years of corporate marketing, advertising, product and project management experience. She has years of experience managing everything from food franchises to mobile products for some of the largest telecommunications and media companies in the world. Irene also found she loved working with her hands. Irene taught herself the art of faux painting. She found it to be an excellent medium to create warmth or add life to dull spaces. As WBCI grew, it became obvious they needed to create a division of the company that offered faux painting and mosaic tile designs so she created Keiko’s Kreations SM in 2006. Irene is Secretary/Treasurer of Witt Building Company, Inc. and now works full-time in Ellijay with husband Matthew. Remodeling and renovations:
