Overview
Join our growing construction and excavation team as a Heavy Equipment Operator/Laborer and become a vital part of building infrastructure that makes a difference! In this energetic role, you will operate a variety of heavy machinery, assist with construction tasks, and perform labor duties. Your expertise will help drive projects forward, from excavation and labor all while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills in heavy equipment operation and contribute to impactful construction projects. Hours vary due to weather limitation. We are looking for candidates to help our company continue to grow and take on leadership roles.
Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, with precision and safety.
Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material movement to support construction activities.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
Collaborate with team members to execute construction plans efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
Assist with site cleanup, material handling, and logistical support as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and colleagues.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, dump trucks.
Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment on construction sites.
Ability to perform basic maintenance checks and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not required
Familiarity with running grade using laser level
Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
