10,000 Views?! Horseheads, you really love this old soul as much as we do! 🤯🙌
We’ve had so many people asking about the current layout of the house, so we wanted to share a look at the "bones" of the property. At Southern Tier Resto, we believe you have to understand the past of a home before you can build its future.
Here is the current "as-is" footprint:
The Main Stage: The first floor is anchored by a massive 16'9" x 28'2" Entertainment Room and a formal Dining Room. You can feel the history in these high ceilings!
The Wing: Tucked in the back is the original kitchen and a downstairs bedroom.
The Grand Staircase: That beautiful curved foyer staircase is the heart of the home, leading up to a second floor that mirrors the grand scale of the downstairs.
Room to Grow: Between the full basement and the massive 23' x 41' unfinished attic, this house has incredible vertical space that most modern builds just can't match.
We’ve spent the last few days "opening things up"—removing the old drop ceilings and redundant second staircases to reveal the original structure. There is something special about seeing the raw timber and craftsmanship that has stood for over a century.
Which part of these old floor plans fascinates you most? The hidden attic space? The massive entertainment room? Or that classic foyer? Let’s talk shop in the comments! 👇
