Machine Operator (Second Shift- Elyria)
Job Summary:
Black Tip is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operators (Second Shift- 3pm-11pm) to join our team. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining plastic injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components. This role ensures efficient production, monitors equipment performance, and adheres to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate plastic injection molding machines according to standard operating procedures.
• Read and understand Work Instructions and attribute sheets posted in the work cell.
• Be able to understand and detect various molding defects.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Must be able to fill out paperwork accurately (hours, downtime, scrap, labels, etc.).
• Operate the machine efficiently to maintain cycle time requirements.
Requirements:
• Excellent attendance record
• Solid work history and strong work ethic
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• High level of attention to detail
• Good interpersonal / communication skills
• Willingness to assist team members with other tasks as required
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus
