Yellow brass is.. 👨‍💻 steady

Yellow brass as of today at E Schneider & Sons in Allentown is $3.25 per pound. The last price I had at the Hellertown location on 7/31 was $3.25 a pound. The good news is, as of now it’s up from last years average of $2.22 a pound, and the price isn’t going down!

Copper is up! 📈

#2 copper at E Schneider & Sons in Allentown is $5.40 a pound (as of 8/7/26). That is $0.20 higher than #2 was on 6/2/26. My average last year was $3.20 a pound.

Copper prices in general have been up, pretty much all year long so far, get to stripping!

Truck Thursday!

I shared in a previous post that I recently acquired this 2000 Ford F150 as my regular driver and scrap truck. I have a lot of plans for the truck as my work load continues to grow, and am going to share updates here along the way with all of you!

The typical “work truck” seat with tears were an issue since I bought the truck. My first attempt at a solution was duct tape in the summer months (I knew better and did it anyway) which proved to only make things sticky and worse. Luckily one night of doom scrolling the Cabela's store, turned up a seat cover that I actually liked, with good reviews so I snagged it up. As inconsistent as these covers are i was skeptical, but after getting all the sticky residue off and installing it, I love it! For the style of seat it fit great, was easy to install, and seems like great quality. Definitely made a BIG difference to the interior.

Truck Thursday!

I shared in a previous post that I recently acquired this 2000 Ford F150 as my regular driver and scrap truck. I have a lot of plans for the truck as my work load continues to grow, and am going to share updates here along the way with all of you!

The first upgrade was the rear lighting.. When I first bought the truck, the wiring in the rear was a complete mess.. Me and my best friend spent a Saturday, going thru EVERYTHING on the rear and with his expertise were able to get everything working. We also added this spot light that comes on automatically in reverse and is BRIGHT. Eventually I plan on towing more, which this will help with, and I will wire the light to a switch so I can use it without being in reverse only.

#1 bare bright copper at E Schneider & Sons in Hellertown is $5.40 a pound (as of 6/17/26). My average last year was $3.67 a pound, with a high of $3.75. Bare bright has gone up $0.10 a pound since 5/12/26

#2 copper in Hellertown is $5.00 a pound (as of 6/17/26). My average last year was was $3.20. #2 copper has gone up $0.65 a pound since 1/22/26

Yellow brass in Hellertown is $3.05 a pound (as of 6/17/26). My average last year was $2.22.
