Friendly reminder to check your furnace filters and make sure they are clean and not plugged up. Also, if we get the large amounts of snow that are predicted, check your flue pipes to keep them free of snow or ice.

As we are taking in a record number of no heat calls right now, here are a few tips of things you can check that may be causing problems:

-Your filter. If it’s dirty/blocking air flow, your furnace will not run.

-Make sure your exhaust/flue pipe is clear from snow/ice build up. If it’s blocked, your furnace will not run.

-Those with heat pumps- Switch your unit to emergency/auxiliary heat. This will help your unit get to a more comfortable temperature.
