Congratulations to our 2025 Employees of the Year!

At Peak Manufacturing and Fulfillment we believe in recognizing employees who truly stand out and make a lasting impact. For 2025, we are proud to honor two exceptional team members whose dedication and expertise help drive our success every day.
Michael Heyborne, our Metrology Manager, is one of the key minds working behind the scenes. Michael is the driving force ensuring our parts meet the highest quality standards. Using advanced measurement technology such as smart scopes and CMM equipment, he carefully analyzes and approves parts for production. His precision, technical knowledge, and attention to detail play a critical role in maintaining the excellence our customers expect.
Our second Employee of the Year is Paola Nye, our HR & Payroll Specialist. Finding the right balance between employee needs and company goals is no easy task, yet Paola consistently exceeds expectations in doing both. She approaches her role with fairness, integrity, and professionalism, always striving to support employees while protecting the best interests of the company. Her honesty, empathy, and commitment make her an invaluable part of the Caroba Plastics team.
We are grateful for Michael and Paola’s outstanding contributions and are proud to recognize them as our 2025 Employees of the Year.

Congratulations in 10 Years!!!
Jay has been a driving force at Caroba, keeping our IT system, website, database, and RF devices running smoothly and helping us stay innovative.
His love for computers began early, inspired by his father, a programmer. In 1983, his parents gave him his first computer, a TI-99/4A, and by age 10 he was already writing code. That passion led him to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Before joining Caroba, Jay worked as an Equipment Operations Manager at an air filter manufacturing company. In his free time, he developed a passion for videography, filming live music performances and creating music videos. When the company closed, Jay was ready for a new challenge. He saw a Craigslist ad for a driver position at Caroba Plastics and he was up to the challenge.
When Jay interviewed with Don, the President, and Barry, the Owner, Barry asked him:
“Why do you want to work as a driver when you have a Bachelor’s in Information Systems?”
Jay replied, “I’ll do it in the meantime while I look for something better.”
Barry said, “I have something better for you.”
Barry introduced Jay to the role of Peak Manufacturing and Fulfillment and gave him a tour of the Caroba production floor. At the end of the tour, Barry made him a unique offer:
“Think about my offer. You don’t have to answer right now. But here’s the deal—we’re having a BBQ on Friday. If you want the job, join us. If not, don’t come to the BBQ.”

Jay laughed—and showed up to the BBQ. That was ten years ago.
When asked why he’s stayed at Caroba for a decade, Jay’s answer was simple: “The people.” Like many of our long-term employees, Jay says Barry has an incredible ability to recognize true team players, and that sense of teamwork is what makes people stay.
Outside of work, Jay is an adventurer at heart. He loves hiking—not just short mountain strolls, but 20-mile treks. For Jay, distance is no obstacle: “I enjoy every step I take and the nature that surrounds me.”
We’re lucky to have Jay: dedicated, passionate, and a true example of the Caroba spirit.

Congratulations in 10 years!

Selam moved to the United States from Asmara, Eritrea (East Africa) in 1997. She lived in both California and Arizona before settling in Colorado in 2001. With a strong background in plastic manufacturing, Selam brought valuable experience to Peak Fulfillment.

She began her journey at Caroba, one of our sister companies, as a temporary employee in the warehouse, primarily focused on assembly and fulfillment. Thanks to her hard work and dedication, she was transferred to Peak Fulfillment after a few years, where she quickly exceeded expectations.

Selam is known for her wonderful, happy personality, and her presence brings a positive energy to the workplace. She is deeply committed to her role, and that dedication is reflected in the quality of her work. When asked about her secret to success, she shared: "The key to doing a good job is to love what you do."

Now having been with Peak Fulfillment for over 10 years, Selam says the reason she’s stayed so long is simple: “I feel at home and feel safe.” Though she was nervous when she first started, the supportive environment and friendly team quickly made her feel comfortable. “Work can be stressful sometimes, but not at Peak,” she says. “We spend half of our lives at work, so you have to be happy and comfortable with what you do.”

Outside of work, Selam enjoys spending quality time with her family.
