Dear Customers,
The next few days are going to test all heating equipment. Especially heat pumps. ( all electric )
There is a very good chance your unit will get behind a few degrees. Don’t panic that’s very possible with these types of temperatures. If your unit gets more than 2 or 3 degrees behind try switching it to the emergency heat setting on the thermostat. For most heat pumps this will increase the performance but each house and unit is different so try both ways to see which provides the best heat for your home. Utility consumption will increase while on emergency heat however it is our OPINION that it is the best electric option if the temperature is below approximately 15 degrees.
If your thermostat does not have an emergency heat option then most likely you have gas heat which will operate as normal
