New railings , fencing , and banner brackets for our beautiful and world glass Art Museum!

The banners are back up on the Customs House steps, and they're looking beautiful. 🎨

Each one features a work of art from our collection or from a recent exhibition. From left to right:
1. Clara Force, (Portrait of) Lovisa Card-Catlin, Erie Art Museum permanent collection
2. Kym Cooper, Summer Days, acrylic on burlap, from the Chautauqua Artists in Residence exhibition, 2022
3. Richard Anuszkiewicz, Green and Blue Knot with Red, acrylic on canvas, Erie Art Museum permanent collection
4. Garry R. Bibbs, Sharp Man In A Wrong Place, monoprint, 2007, from the Ole' Say Can WE See? exhibition, 2022/2023
5. Joseph Plavcan, Red House, Erie Art Museum permanent collection

None of this would have happened without two local companies. Erie Weld Products donated the material and machining prowess to fabricate the adapters that connect the banners to the new structural mounts, and Gene Davis Sales and Serviceprovided the railing, fence, and banner mounts. Thank you both for helping make the stair renovation come together.

Next time you're downtown, stop by and take a look. We'd love to hear which one is your favorite. 💬
