Have you ever wondered why your air conditioner has a drain pipe?

As warm air passes over the cold evaporator coil, moisture collects and drips into the drain pan. The condensate drain line then carries that water safely away.

If the line becomes clogged, water can back up and cause leaks around your furnace or air handler. Noticing water where it should not be? Give Colorado Green a call.

Late summer is a good time to give your outdoor faucets and hoses a quick check. Look for a dripping spout, looseness where the faucet meets the house, or dampness on the wall or foundation below. Don’t forget to inspect the hose for cracks, splits, or worn connections, too.

Small leaks can waste water and may point to a problem that should be addressed before colder weather arrives. If something looks loose or continues to drip after the faucet is turned off, Colorado Green can help.

Colorado’s late-summer heat can make an air conditioner work overtime. If yours runs nonstop but the house still feels warm, start with a few simple checks: confirm the thermostat setting, make sure windows are closed, and check the air filter. Still uncomfortable? The system may need a professional look. Call Colorado Green Plumbing, Heating & Cooling; we’ll help you understand the options without the pressure. 🌿❄️

A dirty HVAC filter can do more than hurt airflow; it can strain your blower motor, contribute to coil problems, and lead to bigger repair costs. Check your filter regularly and give your system a little breathing room.
