We are your one stop steel fabrication shop located in Delta County, the heart of Upper Michigan. We can assist you in all your fabrication needs. We specialize in pilot plows, steel gear cases, portable wheel lathes, wear plates, draft gear pockets, and specialty items; including prototype work. CNC Machinist / Operator – Mazak & Haas 3rd Shift

IMC is hiring a CNC Machinist for 3rd Shift

Prior experience preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow in manufacturing.

What You’ll Do:
• Set up, operate, and monitor Mazak CNC lathes and Haas vertical & horizontal machining centers
• Inspect parts using standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore & thread gauges)
• Perform manual deburring and basic finishing operations
• Read and follow work instructions and blueprints
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Safely handle materials and parts

What We’re Looking For:
• CNC machining experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
• Ability to perform basic shop math
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

A single modern diesel locomotive can weigh as much as 108 adult hippos! That's over 430,000 pounds. Despite their weight, these locomotives can still reach speeds of 70 miles per hour while pulling thousands of tons of cargo. That being said, a solid Plow is an important component to a locomotive. They help clear debris from the track. Our Plows are made using a 100% in-house design and build process and manufactured using 100% U.S. made materials and products. These beauties are ready to ship!
