With the recently passed legislation in Estes Park that allows ADUs (Accessory Dwelling Units), basically, the allowance of another dwelling attached to the main dwelling or added to a detached accessory structure such as a garage, we have been busy helping the community add long term housing.

This ADU project we are just now in the final phase of completing, was built for a client here in Estes Park for a family member to be able to live here for most of the year to be close to the kids and grand kids.

The garage on this property was the perfect place to implement this addition and is quickly becoming a home here in the mountains. And hey, who knew??...It comes with a bonus new found view of the lake!

This is a recently finished custom home we built for a long time Estes Park resident.

The lot has massive views to the front and back so the house was designed and built to take advantage of that.

The home has a couple of custom features that the homeowner asked for including a very oversized garage/workshop and a 'secret' wine cellar to grow and accommodate their always evolving collection.

The end result is a success and the homeowner is settling in to this brand new custom mountain home.

This is a recently completed custom 'Mountain Modern' home we built for a client in an extremely beautiful, private (challenging) location in Estes Park.

The modern design blends naturally into the landscape and has all of the custom features the homeowner asked for for his lifestyle as an artist and entrepreneur. The use of stone, glass, wood and steel both inside and out give the home a modern yet grounded feel.

We added a little design bonus detail with the front facing glass diving directly up into the roof allowing for the tongue and groove ceiling inside to flow through to the outside soffit.

The challenging location set way up on a hillside overlooking the whole Estes Valley posed some unique logistics issues but it all worked out for a beautiful finished product.

We really like this one and the homeowner does too.

Update: We wanted to wrap up this custom build that we finished a while ago, and put together the full set of photos.

This client has a passion for wood, and reclaimed wood is his specialty. He and his wife had a vision for a forever home in Estes Park as they near retirement and began the process of collecting the wood from old barns....really old barns, some dating back to the 1700s

He approached Glacier Creek Construction with his vision and despite the pressing issues that the COVID situation imposed on us, as well as the complicated integration of very old wood and modern construction, we saw it through to completion.

This ultra custom, wood enthusiast's dream home became a reality. Congratulations to the homeowners and their family, we hope you have many generations of wonderful family memories here.
