Here is an update on EWEBs plan for electricity rate next year. With this implementation, this will put customers electricity rate over .15c a kWh including the new $5 increase to connection charge. That’s a big jump from the just over .13c they were at this year. Whats even crazier is since 2021 they were under .8c a kWh so in 4 years they’ve almost doubled electricity costs.

AND THEY ARE INVESTING $1Billion for the next decade. This is just the beginning for EWEB customers! Contact me to get away from the rate increases!! Solar is an option and can save you every month/year vs sticking with the utility.

In just a couple months, rates will be going up again here in Oregon. What does that mean? your cost of power will be more expensive. This is due to the state’s
Power regulations now. Oregon is moving to a renewable grid. What does that mean? Oregon is looking to primarily use solar, wind and hydro to power our state. Who do you think is paying for this construction? That’s right,
You! The people who the utilities service are the ones paying for this. This is a multi million/billion $ investment and it’s coming out of our monthly services. Electricity is already up over 50% for most the state and is about to skyrocket even more in the next few years.

Your options as a homeowner are to either stay with the utiiity and pay a higher bill every year or get solar for the home and quit buying your electricity from the utility. Produce it on site and have a lower cost for solar equipment then your monthly cost for power to the utility.

For the last three years Springfield utility board hasn’t done anything anywhere close to what most of the other utilities are doing as far as rate increases go, but they just announced this proposal for next year. So my SUB people were you aware of this? This goes to show that even one of the cheapest utilities in the state is going to have to get with the program on switching a lot of the infrastructure and upgrading existing.

SHELL IS HELPING PAVE THE WAY IN AMERICA

Shell plans to close 1,000 of its retail gas stations between 2024 and 2025. The closures represent the company shifting focus and utilizing its resources to expand services for EVs.

We have officially made it to October, crazy to think that this year is already almost over. Just as a friendly reminder Rates are going up again in a few months! EWEB is raising rates 20% starting February, if you have Pacific power as your utility they are raising rates 14.9% starting January. if you have PGE as your utility then your rates will be raised an additional 10.5% effective January. Since 2021 these three utilities after these next rate increases have effectively raised your electricity bill over 50%.

80% of the power coming from our grid has to come from a renewable source by 2030. So I promise you this is just the beginning of what you know as expensive electricity costs. Utilities are already trying to remove solar incentives, making it very easy to switch and cost-effective. Once that happens, your luck will be mostly gone. If you think Solar does not work here in Oregon, I’m sorry but not sorry you are 100% wrong. If you get good enough sun and have enough roof space or property to facilitate the power that you need from the grid right now Solar is 100% in your favor.

or just continue to pay a higher bill every year and the utility will eventually give you solar power from their grid. The choice is yours.
