GBA congratulates its team members Dan Doyle, PE, FASHRAE, and David Eldridge, PE, GGF, BEAP, BEMP, HBDP, LEED AP, on being named Labs2Zero Champions by the International Institute of Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL).
Labs are among the most energy-intensive building types. Labs2Zero is a program that aims to decarbonize the world’s high-tech research facilities, including a variety of options and information to support energy efficiency and emissions reduction. Available resources include the Laboratory Benchmarking Tool to help labs see where they stand among over 1,500 peer facilities in terms of EUI, and the AIM Report, a software program designed to identify, quantify, and prioritize energy-saving opportunities, using data from the benchmarking tool.
Dan Doyle and David Eldridge have extensive experience in lab sustainability, including Doyle’s prior service on the I2SL Board and his work in support of the formation of the group’s Great Lakes Chapter. Labs2Zero Champions achieve this credential by completing accreditation requirements, including a training program and knowledge tests. The Champions become part of a community of like-minded peers who continue to work for the advancement of sustainable labs worldwide.
