Autonomous drilling needs to prove its value where it matters most: in production.

In terms of operations, the implementation of the ARDVARC system included MD6310, PV275, MD6420, MD6250, MD6240, and DML drill rigs, while the world’s first fully autonomous 416i and 412i units entered full operation.

This operation also recorded its highest volumes of drilled meters and blasted material in 2025. These results do not suggest that a single technology was the sole cause of all these records; rather, they demonstrate the scale of progress achieved alongside the site's transition to autonomous drilling.
Each deployment reinforces our commitment to supporting our customers in optimizing assets, expanding operations, and building a smarter, more sustainable mining industry.
That is what makes autonomy relevant: helping to reduce personnel exposure to risk, increase operational predictability, and extract greater performance from existing equipment.

The true test lies not just in the technology itself, but in how it performs within the operation.

Always test along the way. Quality checks belong throughout the build, not just the end.

Testing the RTDs on the coils to verify temp readings before moving into the next stage of assembly. Checking as we go gives an opportunity to address any issues while the parts are easy to get to.

A world first, built with Eagle Summit Resources.

Flanders and Eagle Summit Resources, LLC have installed the world’s first hybrid-electric control cabinet on a Komatsu 930E haul truck. The truck is preparing to enter operation.

The cabinet modernizes the truck’s electric-drive controls, enables hybrid-electric operation, and helps extend the life of an asset already in the fleet. It has a sealed liquid cooled drive cabinet that reduces the maintenance team’s exposure to harmful airborne contaminates during service.

We’re proud to work with Eagle Summit on the first in the world engineered controls cabinet and excited to see this milestone go to work in the dirt.
