It's been awhile since I've posted anything here. But today I received some photos from a modeler (Chad T.) that used our HO scale grain bins to make these really cool looking structures. So I thought I would share them. In one of the photos it shows the bin being erected, which is how they do it. They jack it up and install the next ring on the bottom. Chad scratch built the yellow jacks. Awesome job Chad!

The new Arburg 270s is up and running HO scale grain bin parts. This is a huge advancement from the old Jacos. Still have to add vacuum loader and color feeder to it. Once testing is done an operator will be stationed next to the machine to clip and box up the parts as they are produced.

New Arburg 270 has arrived. This machine will be replacing our older Jaco machines that we use to produce many of our model railroad products. The old Jaco's were built in the early 70's and have served us well but they have seen better days. There's no parts available for them anymore and their days are numbered so it's time for them to be replaced. It's the end of an era since the Jaco's were my very first injection molding machines I purchased in 1995 when I went full time and starting doing all of our molding in house. But I'm sure when the new Arburg is fired up and running part with it's computer controlled electronics and touch screen monitor, I'll quick forget how I ever got along without it. 🙂

Hello Model Railroad Facebook friends. Our old web site went on the world wide web back in 1998. It was written on a program called Microsoft’s Frontpage 1998. The old web site had been updated many, many times over the years and served us well. A few months ago we learned that we would no longer be able to update our web site. Web hosting companies are no longer able to host sites made with the older file extensions from Microsoft’s Frontpage. So we lost the ability to update our web site and have been forced to rebuild the entire web site from scratch. After several months of work the new Rix Products web site went live last night. Take a look at it and see what you think. I still have a lot of detail products and info to add to the site. But I needed to get it up and running before I put any more time into it. Let me know if you find any major problems with it. Check it out at www.rixproducts.com
