If your project site is heavily wooded, covered in thick brush, or located along an overgrown riverbank, traditional aerial photogrammetry may not reliably capture the ground surface beneath the vegetation.

Our LiDAR L2 system uses laser pulses and multiple returns to collect ground points through openings in the vegetation. Once processed, this data can be used to develop a detailed existing-ground model that supports pre-construction design, earthwork planning, and volume calculations before clearing begins.

With our drone surveying services, we can provide the information needed to better evaluate site conditions, plan grading and structural improvements, and complete your project more efficiently.

Wait…baseballs can travel farther in warm, humid air than in cold, dry air?

It sounds counterintuitive, but warmer air is less dense than colder air. Humid air is also slightly less dense than dry air because water-vapor molecules are lighter than the nitrogen and oxygen molecules they replace.

With less air resistance, a well-hit baseball can retain more of its speed and carry farther. Of course, wind, elevation and the condition of the ball also play a role.

4.5 years ago, Adam walked into Project Associates as an intern. Today, he’s a full-time Electrical Engineer working in our Power Group.
