This Earth Day, we wanted to share something we're proud of.

Every year, our team distills over 12 million gallons of fluid and oil. We take what others discard, purify it, and return it to its original use — keeping materials in the cycle and out of waste streams.

It's with great sadness that we acknowledge the loss of Dr. Eric Mittlefehldt, Ph.D. He passed away yesterday after many months of health battles.

We do not want to spend time mourning him, but rather celebrating his life in the way he lived it. Eric was a big man with a big personality, and everyone around him was lifted by his presence.

In his nearly 20 years with our company, Eric was an integral part of our business, bringing a knowledge of chemistry, business, and people to his work. But more than just a coworker, Eric developed friendships at our company, and everywhere he went, that will last far beyond his time with us.

Thank you for being with us, Eric. We’re all a little greater because of it.
