Service doors have a hard life and are costly to replace. Due to their larger size their hinges carry more weight and tend to fail over time. There are a few ways to repair a otherwise good door with broken hinge reinforcements but often, the best fix for a high traffic door is with a gear hinge retrofit. Also keep in mind, a door with a lighted exit sign that is sticking or hard to open is a fire code violation.
