Today marks one year since our first community meeting in Chelan County, WA, the home of the world's first fusion power plant. Since then, we've secured permits, poured concrete, and built the foundations for Orion.

Building a power plant is only part of the story, though. From field trips and classroom visits to local partnerships and open dialogue, we know that what we build matters most when everyone can be a part of it.

Fusion happens inside plasmas under extreme conditions. That makes peering inside the machine, and truly understanding what’s going on, one of the toughest challenges in fusion science.

This component helps; it’s our new lens holder: a diagnostic tool designed to capture light from multiple angles and transform it into a clear, meaningful picture of the fusion plasma inside Polaris.

Knowing where the plasma is, how big it is, and how it moves is critical to improving performance. With sharper visibility comes smarter decisions, and faster progress toward achieving fusion power.
