FRC Team 2016- The Mighty Monkey Wrenches

Team 2016 is a Robotics Team that is part of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Organization. Visit usfirst.org for more.

Team 2016 the Mighty Monkey Wrenches is a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team,which is comprised of students from Ewing High School and Marie Katzenbach School for the Deaf in Ewing, New Jersey. Team 2016 was established in 2006 and began competing in 2007. Since then the team has gone on to win many awards over the years. We traveled to the world championships six of it's seven years competing,

including being a finalist on the championship field. The Mighty Monkey Wrenches are also well known for the community service they do. We are also known for promoting FIRST throughout the region, including Space Fest at the USS Intrepid in New York City and the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, New Jersey. The team is also quite proud of their project, Increasing FIRST Awareness in Deaf Schools (IFADS), which introduces deaf students to wonderful world of FIRST. Team 2016 would like to introduce our new advisor, Mr. Matthew Sisk. Mr. Sisk has been a high school science teacher for 3 years, but has spent approximately 20 years in the restaurant business, doing event planning and management. He is quite excited to join our team and is looking forward to working with our members, especially on mechanical projects. While he may be new, he has experience with FIRST, being the supervisor of an FLL club at Beverly City School. Mr. Sisk is quite eager to build a strong relationship with our team in order to lead it to success. The Mighty Monkey Wrenches warmly welcome Mr. Sisk!
