BILLINGS, MONTANA ARCHITECTURE
During a recent trip to Yellowstone, I passed through Billings, Montana. I made a late-night visit to a department store that I designed early in my career. I just compared the sketch that I prepared in 1975 with a Sept. 2022 photo of me standing in front of the building. The reinforced concrete structure has held up well. Another reminder that it is great to be an architect!

Rockland Home for Heroes Designed by The Ives Architecture Studio
The Ives Architectural Studio received approval for the Rockland Home for Heroes from the Orangetown, New York Planning Board. The site is on the last remaining parcel of the historic Camp Shanks WWII Port of Embarkation where GI’s headed to Europe, many of whom were part of the D-Day invasion. George Washington also camped his troops here during the Revolutionary War. The Ives Architecture Studio has design 14 apartments constructed on the existing foundations of the former Rockland Headquarters for the Cold War Nike Missile Program. The apartments for disabled veterans will provide a supporting and therapeutic community for those who have served our country. The proposed site is shown in the aerial photograph below.

TUNA COMES TO FAIR LAWN……
The Ives Architecture Studio has designed a tuna processing plant in Fair Lawn New Jersey for RD Foods Americas. RD Foods is based in the Philippines, Indonesia and Papua, New Guinea. The tuna is shipped at low temperature from the Pacific Ocean, through the Panama Canal and eventually is processed at the 100,000 SF foot facility the Ives team designed in accordance with FDA standards. The offices have been completed and construction is proceeding on the food processing areas. The Ives Architecture studio has designed numerous Industrial buildings and additions. We currently working on an industrial food processing project in Cincinnati, Ohio and are working on other studies in New York and New Jersey. DAWN TO DUSK WELLBEING CENTER
The Dawn to Dusk Wellbeing Center designed by the Ives Architectural Studio in conjunction to Bob Cozzarelli, AIA opened recently in Dayton, South Brunswick N.J. This facility provides services for 140 individuals with Alzheimer’s/Dementia and developmental disabilities. The Ives team took the project from the design stages through the State of New Jersey approvals and construction. The project was built during the period of COVID19 and currently allows for clients to be “socially distanced” in this unique facility. One of the early design sketches is shown below. The Ives Architectural Studio provides design for projects ranging from Child Care Centers and Adult Day Care Centers and, everything in between. The Ives Architecture Studio is headquartered in Fair Lawn, New Jersey and is licensed in NJ, NY, CT, MA, PA, FL and other states.

Gan Iris Child Care Center Designed by the Ives Architecture Studio
A major addition for the Gan Iris Child Care Center designed by the Ives Architecture Studio has begun construction in Fair Lawn. The Ives team who designed the first phase of the project in 2005 was called back for the new building. Our staff took the expansion project from design through the Planning Board approval to construction. The project is at the foot of the north Route 208 ramp at Plaza Road.
