Vertiflite magazine contributor Ian Frain was at Wattisham Flying Station since the beginning of the week to see Marineflieger(German Naval Aviation) Sea Lynx Mk88a pair stop off for refilling before heading to Portland.

The Marineflieger are retiring their legacy Leonardo Sea Lynx Mk88a shortly. The type is being replaced by the NH Industries NH90 NFH (NATO Frigate Helicopter) Sea Tiger, some of the retired fleet like with their Sea Kings at being donated by the German government to Ukriane. In doing so both retire types are being put through HeliOperations based in the south coast of the UK at Portland. HeliOperations themselves had contract to train the last cadre of Marineflieger Sea King crews as the company operated ex Royal Navy Leonardo Sea King HAS5/6 (of which some have also gone to Ukraine. One of the Sea Lynx pair is painted in a special scheme different designs on both sides of the airframe. As it is both aircraft stayed overnight in Portland but returned to their base in Nordholz in Germany via another stop at Wattisham. (All photos by author)

Vertiflite magazine contributor Ian Frain was at Private Flyer at Wycombe Air Park over the weekend. Airbus Corporate Helicopters exhibited their single engine ACH125 while
HelxAv Bell 206 Jet Ranger and Bell 505 Jet Ranger X . Last but not least Heliair who are the UK Robinson Helicopters dealership and Authorised Service Center brought their R44 Raven I and II and Cadet. As part of the upgrades to the cockpit Robinson Helicopters to include Garmin TXi Flight Displays.
