Load bearing they say… no, surprisingly it isn’t a load bearing wall… I’m alittle confused about the metal building insulation wrong side out between the OSB sheathing and exterior metal wall… along with r13 Batt insulation between the studs, with the v***r barrier installed correctly towards the Climate controlled room. Seems like the second layer on the outside of the sheathing sandwiched metal roof siding cause a lot of moisture to hold in the walls…
Now if this room was metal exterior only, remember the plastic on one side is a v***r barrier that’s to be facing the interior of the room, climate controlled, heat source or Cooling source.
And with batt insulation that goes between studs, the paper backing is the v***r barrier, and should be facing interior of the room. I’ve had jobs where the insulation was installed with the wrong side out. Likewise beam and post, barn house, metal garages, metal building, having the insulation with the plastic side facing out… that is incorrect…
This will be the consequences of doing so, water and moisture damage, mildew… etc… and yes, you can smell mildew as soon as you walk into a home with moisture barrier issues…
