In 2019, a group of Fargo elementary students researched the concept of exercise in space. They discovered the benefits of a rowing machine and designed one to be used in space. Fast forward to 2026 and Artemis II, where our astronauts are using a rowing machine to exercise in space. While the design may be different, the application and concepts they applied as fifth graders still apply. These amazing kids will graduate this year and we still couldn’t be prouder of them.
