SAEA is pleased to highlight Dr. Mamoun Fahham’s participation in the 16th Gulf Research Meeting at the University of Cambridge, held July 21–23, 2026. Dr. Fahham, a member of SAEA, is currently working to strengthen coordination and complementarity among Syrian professional and expertise networks in the diaspora, linking their capacities with national and local priorities and practical recovery and reconstruction needs in Syria. Join us for an evening of connection, mentorship, and professional growth. The Student and Young Engineers Committee (SYEC) of the Syrian American Engineers Association (SAEA) is partnering with the Muslim Community Mosque (MCM) Young Professionals Committee to host a dedicated networking event designed specifically for university students and young adults who have recently entered the workforce.

Over the past three months, a group of passionate volunteer software engineers from SAEA came together with one mission: helping senior university students gain the practical skills needed to launch their careers in software engineering.

The Software Engineering Bootcamp was designed specifically for 4th and 5th year Information Technology students from the universities of Aleppo and Damascus, with around 100 students participating throughout the program.

The goal of the bootcamp was simple yet ambitious: equip students with a solid understanding of the modern Java/Spring/React technology stack and prepare them to confidently apply for junior software developer positions locally and internationally.
