Structural Steel Fabrication | Durango Middle School

Another substantial structural steel project completed through the fabrication phase by Strong Fabrication LLC.

This project involved the fabrication and welding of structural steel components, including W8×35 I-beams, custom 1/2-inch steel base plates, and connection assemblies.

From hand-cutting and preparing individual components to shop fabrication, on-site assembly, welding, and final painting, this project required careful planning, precision, and attention to detail throughout every stage.

The fabricated steel is now on location, awaiting final er****on once the supporting concrete has achieved the required strength and installation is scheduled.

We look forward to returning to the jobsite and sharing the completed structure once installation is finished.

Three Consecutive Days of Emergency Oilfield Repairs

Another busy weekend in the books for Strong Fabrication LLC.

From Friday through Sunday, we responded to multiple emergency service calls involving hydraulic fracturing equipment at an active oilfield operation.

Our work included repairing leaking 90-degree elbows on frac pumps and addressing equipment failures on a blender. Each service call required on-site assessment, preparation, and welding repairs to help minimize downtime and get critical equipment back into operation.

Another aluminum repair knocked out in the field.
Customer had a damaged transmission bellhousing that needed to be repaired without replacing the entire unit. The damaged area was ground out, properly prepped, realigned, and TIG welded back together with additional reinforcement through the affected section.
Mobile aluminum welding, heavy equipment repair, emergency repairs, and fabrication.

Emergency trailer repair today. Customer called after the tongue on his enclosed trailer completely separated from the trailer body. We mobilized out, got everything repositioned, reinforced the damaged connection points, and welded the tongue back into the trailer structure with 7018.
Another one back together and ready to move.

11 PM emergency repair on a 5th wheel camper. Cracked leaf spring bracket repaired and reinforced to get this customer taken care of and back on the road. Late nights, tight spaces, or breakdowns — we get it handled.

Big hole in the bottom of a transfer tank? We can fix that.
This transfer tank had a large failed section in the bottom, so I cut the damaged area back and patched it with 1/4-inch steel strap running all the way through for a solid repair.

This kingpin plate had multiple failing stitch welds while this trailer was still being used to haul serious equipment.
Ground it out, cleaned everything back to solid metal, preheated it, laid in a heavy 6010 pass and followed it with four passes of 7018.
No shortcuts. When the repair is carrying this kind of weight, it gets done right.
