Job Description:
We are currently seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs for clients in the Oil & Gas industry. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with a talented team, and contribute to the success of our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with local electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Experience working with and knowledge of National Electrical Code Standards
- Provide technical guidance and support to apprentices to facilitate their professional development and growth.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment to ensure efficiency and safety in the workplace.
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and excellent customer service in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, identify issues, and implement effective solutions to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to plan and execute work efficiently.
- Install and repair electrical wiring and other components as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate work activities and meet project deadlines.
- Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
- Provide excellent customer service, communicate effectively with customers, and address any concerns or questions.
Qualifications:
- Valid journeyman electrician license issued by the state regulatory authority.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a journeyman electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Proficiency in electrical systems installation, interpreting schematics, blueprints and technical documentation, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
- Ability to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and in confined spaces if necessary.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work at heights when required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
