Rezbotics teams had a strong showing at the FIRST Tech World Championships 🤖🏆, including a Tuba City team member being named one of ten national and ten international finalists for a FIRST leadership award.

Shiprock High School received the Judges’ Choice Award in their division for determination and improvement during the competition 🌟, an honor awarded to only about 3% of the 300+ teams at Worlds.

As Rezbotics prepares to submit for the Good Neighbor Award, one student’s story reminds us that this program is inspiring Navajo students to see new possibilities, work harder, reach higher, and achieve more than they thought possible. 🚀

Season Wrap-Up: Keeping Our Communities Warm! ❄️🔥

As the winter season comes to a close, we want to take a moment to look back and say Ahe’hee’ (Thank you) to everyone who supported the NTEC Community Heating Resource Program (CHRP) this year!

While the winter weather was unusually mild this time around, our mission to serve the Navajo Nation and our Hopi neighbors remained as strong as ever. Whether you visited us at the yard or received a delivery in your community, it was an honor to help keep your homes warm. 🏠✨

Here is a look at what we accomplished together this season:
Total Coal Distributed: 8,289 tons 🚛
Yard Visitors: 5,151 families and individuals 🤝
Bulk Deliveries: 130 deliveries made to 62 Navajo Chapters and 7 Hopi Villages! 📍

Celebrating Our Hardworking Team 🍲

To wrap up such a successful run, we celebrated with a special appreciation luncheon for our incredible CHRP workers! These are the folks out in the elements every day making sure the coal gets where it needs to go. It was a great time to refuel, share some laughs, and recognize their dedication to the community.

A Special Note of Gratitude 🙏

We also want to extend a very special thank you to Navajo Vice President Richelle Montoya for her kind words and encouragement. Your support means the world to our team and helps fuel our commitment to serving the people!
We are incredibly proud of these results, but we’re even more proud of the resilience of our community. 🧡

Thank you for another successful season! Stay safe, stay warm, and we look forward to seeing you again next year. ⚒️✨

📢 We need your support! NTEC is applying for an air permit for a new natural‑gas–fired plant on the Navajo Nation, and the public comment period is officially open.

Your support will help NTEC develop the NavEnergy Hub, a project to diversify the energy portfolio of the Navajo Nation. This means hundreds of jobs and millions of dollars for the Navajo Nation that will continue to help Navajo people for years to come.

If you want to support local energy production and economic growth, now is the time to make your voice heard. The deadline to submit comments is April 29.

💬 How to share your support: 📍 Attend a hearing:
• Upper Fruitland Chapter House – April 21, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
• Window Rock, Navajo Nation Museum – April 22 , 6p.m. to 8 p.m.

📧 Email your comments: Send to [email protected] Subject line: “Comments on Draft Permit for NTEC Energy Generation Plant”

📝 Use the link to get a start with your letter of support and submit your comments in minutes. https://bit.ly/4cVINn4

Every comment matters. Let’s show the EPA that the community is engaged and paying attention.

🔥 CHRP Coal Yard Closing Reminder 🔥

The Community Heating Resource Program (CHRP) Coal Yard will be closing for the season this weekend. ⛏️
We’ll be open Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for final pickups.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in CHRP this year. 🙏

It was a strong season of providing free coal to Navajo Nation residents and chapters, and we’re grateful for the community support that makes this program possible.
We’ll see you all again this coming fall for another CHRP season. 🍂

Until then, stay safe, stay warm—and remember… coal keeps the hogan warm. 🏠🔥

NTEC was truly happy to be a sponsor at this year’s Annual Mayor’s Ball in Farmington — and what an incredible night it was! 💛✨ The energy, the conversations, the community spirit… it all came together for a beautiful evening.
Even better, the funds raised went directly to Desert View Family Services and Counseling, supporting the vital work they do for families in our region. 🤝💙 Knowing the night helped strengthen resources for those who need it most made the celebration even more meaningful.

Being a valued part of this community is something we’re deeply proud of, and events like this remind us just how special that connection is. 🌟🏘️

🌟 Honoring Strength, Culture, and Community at Navajo Mine! 🌟

We had an inspiring and joy filled celebration of International Women’s Day at Navajo Mine, and our hearts are still full. 💛✨ The day featured incredible guest speakers and talented performers who reminded us of the power, resilience, and leadership of the women who keep our mine—and our communities—moving forward. 🎤💃

Navajo Mine is proud to have one of the highest percentages of women workers in the entire country, and that’s something truly worth celebrating. 🙌💪 Their dedication, skill, and spirit make a difference every single day.

As a Navajo company, we honor our matrilineal roots, where women are the foundation of our families, our clans, and our way of life. 🌾💫 Celebrating the life givers, the protectors, and the leaders of our company is not just tradition—it’s who we are.

Here’s to the women of Navajo Mine and across the Navajo Nation. Today and every day, we celebrate you. 💙🌍
