Here are a few reporting stations that have had the wettest August of all-time this month in central Indiana. The oldest station is Farmland 5 miles NW, which has been reporting since 1893.

New Castle, IN, also recorded its wettest month of all-time at any point in the year.

We would like to invite growers of all categories to attend the SWPAC Vegetable Field Day, which will be held on August 13, 2026 in Vincennes, Indiana. This is a free event, although registration is required.

PARP credits will be available for participants. The program will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at midday, with discussions focused on current vegetable research trials and future research priorities for disease management in vegetable crops.
