• R2TC Goal To train and to nationally certify local and out-of-town workforce with 21st century needed skill sets (using the most widely used robotics systems as a tool) in order for them to find jobs or to perform successfully in their jobs while earning wages above the national annual salary on the get go. • Target Open Date April 2019 • Number Of Systems and Made of Robots Begin with 8 robotic systems 4 from Fanuc http://robot.fanucamerica.com/Default.aspx; 4 from ABB. http://www.abb.com/ • Training Schedule 2 weeks per month for incumbent worker training and 2 weeks per month for non-incumbent worker training, for example high school students, individuals wishing to change career or move up the career ladder. • Length Of Training Starting with a basic training course and that course could be completed in 32 hours. • Cost Of Training Estimated to be around $2,000 • Maximum Class Size Each robotic system can have 2 students working on it. So, the maximum per class is 16 students at one time. • Business Model The Chamber owns the Center and we engage our partner collaborators: Northwest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) to provide the training instruction and Multi-Craft Contractors (MCC) to potentially hook up graduates from the Center to jobs in the marketplace.
