PORT Systems We specialize in passive oil recovery technology. The number of ports/harbors/marinas with oil slick contamination is large.

Recent oil spills in the Gulf and elsewhere underscores a continual need for improved oil collection/recovery systems
Current technologies employed: Chemical Dispersants, Oil Collection Booms and Skimmer Vessels each have limited effectiveness in a full scale response to a spill
Other than oil collection booms, there is no passive collection /recovery technology being employed
Every gallon of oil

contaminated water collected by a skimmer vessel contains approximately 10% oil
In addition to massive spill response, there remains a fuel, oil, and other hydrocarbon contamination issue in and around transfer points, marinas, and even in bodies of fresh water
The current demand for commercial and industrial sites to control run-off. The ability to capture and reclaim these hydrocarbons has added value.
