I don’t really advise people to put an outdoor mouse trap next to their AC system until I’ve seen signs/damage from mice.
Protect your investment. This is what I recommend them to buy.
Not only does your system provide mice and snakes with protection from the elements, the wires are said to be made from soy beans. Yummy.

I highly recommend if your house was the place to be for the holidays, change your air filter
