SLP Lighting, LLC in Sullivan MO is looking for a Plant Manager.
Position Summary:
The Plant Manager is responsible for general supervision of the of the plant operations including: production, quality control, maintenance, distribution and safety
Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the facility.
• Oversee Production, Scheduling, Purchasing, Quality, Maintenance and Distribution
• Recruiting, hiring and training personnel.
• Facility/physical plant up-keep and capital improvements.
• Annual budget planning and ex*****on.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety regulations and procedures
• Analyze workforce requirements.
• Analyze production metrics and data to determine areas to improve and develop strategies to increase productivity and production.
• Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment.
• Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service and Research and Development to ensure customer satisfaction
• Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and guidance to all operations employees
• Practice conflict resolution among departments and employees in the plant
Skills and Qualifications
• BA or BS in operations management, business, engineering or related field preferred but not required
• 10+ years plant operations or engineering experience preferred
• Proven supervisory skills and demonstrated leadership skills
• Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong management skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Encouraging to team and staff, able to mentor and lead
• Excellent conflict-resolution and decision-making abilities
