Happy Halloween from the crew that isn't afraid of what's hiding behind your walls, floors, or roofline.

A whole home renovation has a way of uncovering everything a house has been quietly holding onto. Old wiring nobody remembers installing. Plumbing that leads to nowhere. A structural "fix" from three owners ago still haunting the crawl space. Once you open up an entire house, nothing stays hidden for long.

Good news: we're not scared. We just fix it, room by room, until the whole house works the way it should.

Got something spooky hiding in your house? Let's exorcise it together.

Every home we build stands on the work of people who came from somewhere else, whether that was across the state, across the country, or across an ocean.

Construction has always been a trade of hands from everywhere, each bringing talent, skill, and traditions that make the finished work better than any one person could manage alone.

Today we’re pausing on words that have welcomed people to this country for generations:

“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
Emma Lazarus

A country is built the way a home is, by many hands, each one essential. We’re grateful for every one of them, past and present.

Bring us your vision and we’ll bring the hands to build it.

There's a version of renovation people picture that involves dust on every surface and furniture pushed into corners under plastic sheets, hoping for the best.

That's not how we work.

Every room we're not touching gets sealed off. Every floor, every stairwell, every piece of furniture stays protected, not as an afterthought, but as part of the plan from day one. Your home keeps functioning as a home, even while part of it is becoming something new.

Peace of mind shouldn't be optional during a renovation. With us, it isn't.

Soft light on tile that feels like a favorite hotel. A shower that feels like a reset, not a routine. Every detail chosen so this room feels less like a bathroom and more like the best part of your morning and evening.

The challenge behind this primary bath wasn't just more space, it was smarter space: natural light preserved, storage expanded, and a layout reworked to include a separate water closet.

Nothing here happened by accident. Every inch was planned around how this family actually wanted to live.

That's the difference between a renovation and a remodel done right.

What could your space become?

Sometimes it's not the walls, the layout, or even the lighting that makes a space feel finished. It's one piece.

Good design isn't about adding more. It's about knowing exactly what a room is missing. What's yours missing?

Some projects look effortless from the outside. This one wasn't.

Building a private golf training facility 100 yards from the nearest utility tie-in meant bringing power and water down a stretch of road that had none, then solving a climate puzzle most people never think about: how do you keep a space comfortable when its doors are designed to roll wide open to the outside air, then seal shut again in seconds.

The result is a facility built for swings, not sweat, and engineered to work every single time the doors move.

Curious what we can build for you?

We gave Makaya a microphone. We take full responsibility for what happened next.

Expanding a kitchen inside Fernandina's historic district isn't as simple as picking a layout you like. Every inch of the footprint has to answer to the historic district council before a single wall goes up. We sourced original brick reclaimed from a garage once on the property to build the new porch resulting in an addition that feels like it's always belonged there.

Inside, the challenges got more personal. A family that actually cooks and lives in this kitchen needed storage, so we built it in: cabinetry that conceals the robot vacuum's charging dock, a bifold cabinet door for easier access, and a washer and dryer tucked completely out of sight.

The result blends two centuries without either one losing.

Let’s see what we can build into your home!
