Proud to be recognized with a National Award of Merit in the Water/Wastewater category for the Lewiston WTP retrofit project! Thank you, to the Design-Build Institute of America, for this honor.

Our design-build team’s creative approach to construction, the way we employed the benefits of the progressive design-build delivery method to navigate challenges caused by the pandemic, and incredible teamwork contributed to the success of this project. Thank you, to the City, our partner Stantec, Brown and Caldwell, and Control Systems Technologies. The Lewiston WTP retrofit project will be celebrated at the November 2 awards ceremony in Washington, DC.

In honor of week, we celebrate a legend, IMCO Co-Founder Patti Imhof! Patti builds community, vision, integrity, and always optimism. She has been foundational in growing IMCO Construction from our first contract (a residential landscaping project) in 1978 into the company we are today. Patti continues to lead with strength, conviction, and a focus on growing a culture grounded in core values. Her early leadership at IMCO pioneered drug free workplace initiatives, helping to establish an industry standard for safety and health in the late 1980s and 90s. Thank you Patti Imhof, for your creativity, boldness, and commitment to excellence.

Women are a minority in the construction industry, making up roughly 18% of the IMCO workforce. IMCO’s STEM initiative, which stands for strengthen, thrive, empower, and mentor, began in 2017 to provide woman at IMCO with extra opportunities for growth and community building.

Galen Emanuele from brought humor, improv, and lessons on generating a culture of feedback to the IMCO STEM group. Galen is an international speaker who teaches teams to create positive culture, being present, impacting colleagues with a yes mindset, and embracing change and failure.
