Another successful project completed by Mount and Stout Construction LLC.

We had the privilege of working with a repeat customer to completely rebuild his fence and stain it to match the deck we built for him last year.

This project required a full tear-out of the old fence. We installed new posts set in concrete, made sure every section was straight and plumb, and finished it off with brand-new fence boards and a beautiful stain to tie everything together perfectly.

🏚️ Today’s episode of “This Old House”…

We tore into this home expecting to repair a failing foundation — but what we discovered was something straight out of the 1930s.

Running down the entire center of the house was a full log being used as the main support beam. No concrete footing, no modern framing… just a log holding up the structure for nearly a century.

Homes built during this era were often constructed with whatever materials were available, and it’s always interesting to see the creativity and craftsmanship from generations past.

Now our job is to properly reinforce and rebuild the support system so this home has a strong, safe foundation for the next 100 years.

Projects like this are a reminder that every old home has a story hidden behind the walls.

At Mount and Stout Construction LLC, some projects mean a little more than just the finished product.

We just wrapped up a very special shower remodel for a quadriplegic gentleman at Cascade connections who needed a larger, more accessible space. Being able to help improve someone’s daily life truly touched Kenny and Jacob’s hearts. This one meant a lot to us.
