A cold storage building has to hold a temperature, not just hold product.
Food processing and cold storage facilities ask a lot of a building. Insulation, wall panels, floors, and doors all have to work together to keep conditions steady and energy costs in check. Sanitation needs and equipment layouts add another layer of planning.
Those needs are much easier to meet when they are part of the design from the start. Planning the envelope, the floor, and the mechanical systems as one package helps you avoid costly fixes after the building is up and running.
In these operations, the building is part of the process. It should be designed that way.
