ETD is proud to have our Project Manager, Kyle Dotson, involved in providing final inspection services for the CHID homes across the Navajo Nation. These homes are part of a much-needed effort to address the housing gap and provide safe, accessible living spaces for Navajo families.

With National Navajo Code Talker Day coming up this week on the 14th, ETD stopped by the Indigenous Code Talker Celebration event hosted by the Flagstaff City Government and Indigenous Commission at the Market of Dreams on Fourth Street!

Today's event featured several community leaders who told of the important history of Native American Code Talkers during the 1st and 2nd World Wars and their legacy. Their codes, that were never broken, played a major role in communication during both conflicts.

An important theme of the meeting was the importance of building community and how giving veterans recognition after they served can improve their not only their lives but the communities they come from.

This yearโ€™s celebration also featured songs by Clark Tenakhongva and cultural dances and songs from a local Hopi group, 'The Little Rain Clouds.'

Thank you to all those that made this community event possible!

Noting the ongoing changes with Federal funding, this webinar will feature "seasoned professionals from environmental consulting, NGOs, and business to talk about their experiences in the private sector, with a focus on transitioning from government positions."

Please share to anyone you know who may be interested!

The webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, June 11th at 12PM ET/9 AM PT.

Last month, ETD, Inc. had the privilege of conducting fieldwork for a truly meaningful projectโ€”bringing high-speed internet access to one of the most remote communities in the United States: the Havasupai Tribe.

As part of Phase 1 of the Havasupai Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program, our team completed site surveys for future communications towers deep within Havasu Canyon. These towers will not only connect residents and visitors with reliable internet access, but will also play a critical role in supporting emergency response and essential services.

From helicopter flights into the Canyon to on-the-ground data collection in Supai Village and the surrounding tower sites, this work reflects our commitment to meaningful infrastructure development on Tribal lands.

Weโ€™re honored to support the Havasupai Tribe in this effort to bridge the digital divide!

Todayโ€™s Navigating the NEPA Process in Navajo Country workshopโ€”hosted by ETD, Inc. at the Dinรฉ Restaurant in Window Rockโ€”was a powerful gathering focused on building environmental planning capacity within our own communities.

Representatives from the Navajo Division of Transportation, the Navajo Housing Authority, Native Renewables, local Chapters, and other Navajo companies and agencies joined us to explore how they can better navigate the complex intersection of federal and tribal environmental regulations.

The workshop was designed to empower Navajo professionals with the tools and knowledge to take the lead in NEPA complianceโ€”strengthening Tribal sovereignty while ensuring responsible, culturally grounded land use and development.

Thank you to all who participated and contributed to this important dialogue!

Happy Native American Heritage Day!

Today, on Native American Heritage Day, we celebrate the rich cultural heritage and numerous contributions of Native American communities while acknowledging the urgent need for development in many Tribal Nations.

Across the U.S., many Native communities face challenges such as inadequate housing, infrastructure, and access to resources. As a 100% Navajo-owned company, ETD, Inc. has spent nearly 30 years partnering with over 260 Tribal communities to address critical needs. Through more than 500 projects, weโ€™ve supported efforts that foster self-sufficiency, improve living standards, and create opportunities for future generations.

One example of this commitment is our recent work with the San Carlos Apache Tribe, where we helped develop environmental assessments for housing projects that provide safe, affordable homes for families in need.

On this day of reflection and celebration, ETD reaffirms its mission to empower Tribal Nations by supporting their vision for sustainable, community-driven progress.

We wish you and your loved ones a safe and memorable holiday!

Access to affordable, safe housing is a critical need for the San Carlos Apache Tribe. With over 17,300 enrolled members and a high poverty rate, the demand for housing far exceeds the available supply.
