💧 Safe, reliable drinking water starts with strong infrastructure.

We’re proud to be part of this important investment in the City of Trenton NJ - City Hall, where approximately 2,000 lead and galvanized water service lines will be replaced to help improve drinking water quality, system reliability, and public health.

At SCE, water quality is at the heart of what we do. We’re committed to developing solutions that strengthen water infrastructure and deliver lasting benefits to the communities we serve. Thank you to the New Jersey Infrastructure Bank, the City of Trenton and Trenton Water Works, and everyone involved in advancing this critical project. We’re proud to contribute to infrastructure improvements that help protect the quality and reliability of our most essential resource. 💧

You can learn more about Trenton Water Work’s Lead Service Line Replacement Program Here: https://lnkd.in/gVZmFacq

The City of Trenton is replacing approximately 2,000 lead and galvanized water service lines throughout the community with a $15.2 million loan from the New Jersey Water Bank. Lead service lines and certain galvanized lines can contribute to lead exposure in drinking water, making their replacement a critical investment in public health.

Because this project reduces the risk of lead exposure, Trenton Water Works will be eligible to receive an estimated $12,025,378 in principal forgiveness at long-term closing, covering approximately 71% of the total project cost.

SCE is proud to serve as the design and construction engineer for this important investment in the Borough of Seaside Heights' drinking water infrastructure. Replacing aging water mains is essential to reducing water loss, maintaining water quality and pressure, and ensuring residents and businesses continue to have reliable water service for all of their needs. Partnering these improvements with planned roadway projects has also helped to maximize the value of funding sources, while minimizing disruptions to residents and visitors.

Congratulations to the Borough of Seaside Heights and everyone involved in moving this project forward! Thank you to the New Jersey Water Bank for supporting critical infrastructure investments that strengthen communities across New Jersey. 👏💧

Seaside Heights recently closed on a $2.4 million loan to advance a multi-phase water main replacement program to coincide with planned road paving projects throughout the borough.

Because the borough qualifies under the New Jersey Water Bank's affordability criteria and the project advances important clean water objectives, it is expected to receive an estimated $2,173,853 in principal forgiveness at long-term closing. This amounts to 98% of the total project cost, almost eliminating the financial burden on the community.

The New Jersey Water Bank is committed to helping communities across the state finance essential infrastructure projects that protect public health and strengthen New Jersey's future.
