From the press release:
River Valley Plumbing & Heating Reaches for the Sky at The Historic Rialto Theater
A large crane boomed over the small town of Florence, Colorado on Tuesday morning (8/19) as River Valley Plumbing & Heating, Duffy Cranes, J.R.B Electric and Kelly Carroll of C.L.H Construction (General Contractor), began their project to install ten roof top heating and air conditioning units at the Historic Rialto Theater. Though the work just started, the project has been in the works for months to plan and prepare for this big day!
Cory Bungard, co-owner of River Valley Plumbing & Heating stated that "the crane work would be done the first day, but that our employees and other contractors would be there consistently in the upcoming weeks to get everything operational and up and running."
The current board is committed to seeing the theater fully restored. Their efforts are supported by a completely volunteer team, generous donors, grants, and tax credits. The outdated heating and cooling system was put in during the 90s and was no longer in good working order. The Rialto, built in 1923 and added to the Colorado State Register of Historical Places in 1993 serves Southern Colorado and the entire Royal Gorge region, providing live theater performances, concerts, dances, movies, among other attractions. The Historic Rialto Theater Board has placed great emphasis on the fact that they prefer to work with local companies to make their vision a reality so that the space can be enjoyed for years to come.
River Valley Plumbing & Heating wants to express their gratitude to the Historic Rialto Theater for trusting them with this project, for their continued support, and for their tireless efforts to help make Florence special.
