The beam signing for the Union Town Square City Building took place yesterday afternoon, marking an exciting milestone for the project. Mark Spaulding Construction Company is proud to partner with the City of Union on this meaningful development.
Set across 22 acres, the site will feature the new city building alongside a park, pavilion, playground, and splash pad. This project will provide a vibrant, welcoming green space for the community to enjoy for years to come.

It was a bittersweet evening as we celebrated the retirement of two of our team members with a dinner at Walt’s Hitching Post.

Tom Uhlenbrock has been a Superintendent with us for 25 years. He is a great friend and a mentor to many of our new Superintendents. Tom has completed over 20 projects in Ohio, Kentucky and Florida.

Ron Welton is a carpenter and has been with the company for over 10 years. He has worked on numerous projects and has helped train future carpenters. He is also our in-house comedian.

We all enjoyed the stories that were shared during the evening, and we are grateful for their dedicated service to Mark Spaulding Construction Company.

We are excited to announce that the Williamsburg Middle School Gym Addition Project is officially open, and their first basketball game has already been played. This project included a new 18,600sf Gym, Wrestling Room, Batting Cages Room, and a multipurpose room; along with 7,500sf interior renovations of a Stem Lab and Concessions Area. We are thrilled that we could be a part of the team that brought this project to fruition, and we hope it serves the Williamsburg community well for many years to come.

We were honored to join Boone County Parks & Recreation for the ribbon-cutting of their newest facility.
As the general contractor, we’re proud to have helped bring this vision to life: a modern complex featuring a 28,000 square foot facility that now houses all of the departments administrative offices and operations under one roof.

Thank you to our project partners Hub+Weber Architects, PLCViox & Viox Civil Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Landscape Architects GOP Limited, Heapy Engineering, Team UES. We’re excited to see all the positive impact this facility will bring for years to come!

Last week we celebrated Mark Spaulding Construction Company being in business for 30 years while we had our company Christmas party. Our team enjoyed a late lunch and played a Rob Your Neighbor gift game. We are so thankful for our entire team. We wouldn’t be where we are today and couldn’t do what we do with out each and every one.
